Core practice

Sustainability, carbon & ESG

We measure emissions and water use, prepare the data your EU customers will ask for, and turn it into reports that survive an audit.

Service

Carbon footprint

ISO 14064-1 · GHG Protocol · Scope 1, 2, 3

A corporate greenhouse gas inventory is the base for every climate claim, CBAM answer and ESG report your company will make. We set the boundaries with you, collect activity data, choose defensible emission factors and calculate Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.

  • Organisational and operational boundaries, base year and recalculation policy
  • Data request templates your teams can fill in without guesswork
  • Scope 3 screening across all 15 categories, with the material ones calculated
  • Inventory report structured for third-party verification under ISO 14064-1
  • Reduction opportunities ranked by tonnes and cost

Service

Water footprint

ISO 14046

Water is the next disclosure buyers ask about after carbon, especially in textiles, food and agriculture. We assess the water footprint of products, processes or the whole organisation following ISO 14046 and life-cycle principles.

  • Scope and functional unit definition
  • Inventory of water use and emissions to water
  • Impact assessment and hotspot analysis
  • Report ready for critical review

Service

CBAM & carbon markets

EU CBAM · TR ETS · EU ETS

Turkish producers of iron and steel, aluminium, cement, fertilisers and electricity now sell into a market that prices their embedded emissions, and Türkiye’s own ETS pilot covers the same sectors. We prepare the installation-level data, the monitoring approach and the communication your EU importers need.

  • Embedded-emissions calculation per CBAM goods and installation
  • Supplier communication packs for EU importers
  • TR ETS pilot readiness: monitoring plan and reporting for the 2026 system year
  • Carbon price exposure estimates for 2027 onwards
  • Market intelligence through our ESG Financial Intelligence brief

Service

ESG reporting

CSRD · ESRS · VSME

Large EU groups now report on FY2027 under the revised CSRD, and they will ask their suppliers for data. We help Turkish companies answer those questionnaires and publish their own sustainability reports.

  • Double materiality assessment
  • VSME-based reports for small and mid-sized suppliers
  • Sustainability report drafting and data tables
  • Answers to customer ESG questionnaires and ratings

Questions we get

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between ISO 14064-1 and the GHG Protocol?

Both set out how to measure an organisation’s greenhouse gas emissions. The GHG Protocol Corporate Standard is the most widely used accounting framework; ISO 14064-1 is the international standard many verifiers and buyers ask for. We build inventories that meet both, so one dataset serves your EU customers, banks and certification body.

We export steel, aluminium or cement to the EU. What does CBAM ask of us?

Since 1 January 2026 CBAM is in its definitive period. Your EU importer must declare the embedded emissions of the goods and buy CBAM certificates for them, with sales opening on 1 February 2027 and the first annual declaration due on 30 September 2027. Importers will ask you, the producer, for installation-level emissions data. Without it they fall back on default values, which usually cost more.

Is my company covered by Türkiye’s ETS pilot?

The pilot covers installations in electricity generation, cement, iron and steel, aluminium and fertilisers. 2026 is a reporting-only year and carbon pricing starts with the 2027 system year. Installations above 50,000 tCO₂e a year fall under the trading system; smaller ones monitor and report. Send us your sector and annual emissions and we will tell you where you stand.

How long does a first carbon inventory take?

It depends on the number of sites and how ready your data is. After a short scoping call we put a timeline in the proposal, with a data request list so your team knows exactly what to collect.

Do you verify the inventory as well?

No. We prepare the inventory and the report so they are ready for verification. Verification is done by an independent accredited body, and we work alongside them during the audit.

Send us your sector and sites. We’ll scope the work in one call.
